Impression Material
Dental impression material like 3M Express Putty, Aquasil and others are commonly made of alginate, plyether and silicone, polyvinyl siloxane and come in different dental impression kits and brand such as 3M ESPE, Kerr, Parkell to name a few. So how is a dental procedure done? An impression is carried out by placing a viscous liquid material into the mouth usually in a customized tray. The material then sets to become an elastic solid, and when removed from the mouth retains the shape of the teeth. Dentist have a choice to use elastic or non elastic dental impression products depending on the patient and desired outcome.
